Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Richmond County Scooter website (the "Site"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Catalog Only & Direct Sales
This Site functions as a catalog and showroom for our custom Vespas, parts, and merchandise. There is no online shopping cart, automated checkout, or payment user interface on this Site.
All sales, purchases, custom builds, and restoration contracts are arranged and completed directly through communication with Vince (the "Vespa Guy"). Sending an inquiry through the Site starts a conversation but does not constitute a final sale, reservation, or binding contract.
3. Custom Builds & Deposits
For custom builds, modifications, and frame-off restorations:
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to purchase materials, secure a chassis, and reserve a build slot.
- Scope-of-work changes made after the project has commenced may incur additional charges and modify the timeline.
- Estimated completion dates are approximations and subject to parts availability and workshop backlog. We prioritize quality over speed.
- The final balance is due upon inspection/completion, prior to shipment or pickup.
4. Parts & Merchandise Orders
Parts and merchandise inquiries are processed manually. Prices listed on the Site are display prices and are subject to change. Inventory is limited, and we do not guarantee the availability of items shown on the catalog. Shipping fees and applicable taxes will be added to your custom invoice.
5. Limitation of Liability
Vintage scooters are mechanical machines that require ongoing maintenance, tuning, and care. Richmond County Scooter and Vince are not liable for any mechanical failures, accidents, damages, or personal injuries resulting from the operation, modified parts, or road use of these vehicles once they leave our studio.
It is the owner's responsibility to operate vehicles in compliance with local motor vehicle laws, licensing, and insurance mandates.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any custom project contracts are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions must be filed in the courts of Richmond County, Staten Island, NY.
